Facials
Hello May!
Let’s talk about skincare! Our Skin is the largest organ of the human body. So immediately what comes to your mind? I need to treat my skin better right? Or wrong-o I need some more information please! In this following post, I will mention basic information regarding our skin, routines or steps you should be doing that will help you in the long run.
Simple start of home care:
The beginning of the day: cleanse, tone , moisturizer, and sunscreen.
The end of day: cleanse, tone, eye cream, serum, and moisturizer.
Consistency is key…(like everything else)
There are many skin risk factors that we should be aware of or should take in mind. Let’s talk about the first major one the SUN, the beautiful powerful factor that affects our skin that causes aging, hyperpigmentation and skin- cancer. The two wavelengths that you should be aware of are UVA and UVB. Along with the other skin risk factors: air pollution, environmental exposure and humidity.
I get this question all the time from my clients, “Chelsea, is this product good?” The beauty industry is constantly pushing new products to consumers. I usually will get a picture of the product , look at the key ingredients and give my clients an honest answer. As a buyer I suggest that you constantly check the products ingredients, make it a habit, lets do the research! If completely lost please don’t hesitate to email me or schedule an appointment.
Estheticians help clients understand what specific target needs to be treated, and answer skin concerns. A main concern clients might have is hyperpigmentation, Which I would suggest the following three treatments.
Microdermabrasion- is a mechanical exfoliation spraying crystals to remove dead skin, it is an equipment that feels like a suction on the top layer of the skin.
Chemical Peel “Light Peels”-( AHAs) Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAS) speed up the process to remove dead skin cells penetrating the corneum. The process of the treatment turns over the skins cell renewal faster than normal. An insight on the process, clients might feel a tingly or spicy sensation on face.
Dermafile- is a alternative form of exfoliation especially if cannot use microdermabrasion based on skin contradictions. The dermafile is a stainless steel tool that has crushed cosmetic diamonds.
Lastly, Our skin is very important due to the fact it’s our largest organ, Don’t forget to wear your SPF!
Thank you for reading this far, stay tuned. The next post is on Babe Lash, a brand that provides lash serum, mascara and lip-gloss. I am loving that brand too!
Much love,
